We manufacture
both type of Air Washers i.e.
- Conventional spray nozzle air washer.
- Rigid Media PVC fills air washer / Paper fills (Celldek
Cellulous) type air washer Due to high cooling efficiency,
low maintenance and negligible electric consumption later
is preferable to spray nozzle system.
Spray Nozzle Air Washer :
Size of air washer depends on quantity of air to
be handled, permissible air velocity through mist eliminator
and intake louvers is 2.5 m/sec., but in our design, velocity
of air 2 m/sec. has been selected for best possible cooling.
This makes the size of air washer large. Following is the
brief description of air washer.
Main Components :
- Mist Eliminator.
- Intake Louvers.
- Spray Nozzle bank 2 parallel banks each operated by individual
mono block pumps.
- Mono block pump – 3 Nos. Kirloskar / Crompton /
Beacon are installed. 2 pumps operate in peak summer, one
can be stopped in normal heat days and one is stand by.
- Spray nozzle - 3/8" X 1/8" Gunmetal or PVC,
Qty. depends on the size of air washer.
- Pot Stainer and Plane SS micro filter for dual filtration
of water-Pot stainer is large enough so that maximum once
a year it is to be cleaned.
- Suction header - All three monoblock pumps receive water
from common suction header.
- Water circuit mode is such that any pump can be connected
to any spray nozzle bank and any pump can be taken out for
preventive maintenance. All valves, non-return valves provided
are ISI mark from reputed manufacturer.
Pipe is 'B' class galvanised from TATA, JINDAL
or TTSWASTIK-ISI mark.
Rigid Media PVC Fill Air Washer (Poly Fill Air Washer)
:
In this case PVC fill element size 1200 x 300 x 150
mm, work as cooling media. In the same frame after leaving
open space mist eliminators (same PVC fill element 1200 x
100 x 150 mm) are installed to stop any free water droplets
to go with cold air.
Air Washer Comprises of :
- Cooling Media
- Mist Eliminator.
- Galvanized steel structure 5 mm & 2 mm thick components
. Finally epoxy coated to give a life of at least 10 to
15 years.
- Top tray and distribution pipe to pour the water on cooling
media equally throughout the length of air washer.
- Mono block-pump 2 Nos., pumps one in operation and one
standby.
- Pot Stainer, plane SS filter, valves, non-return valves,
pipe fittings.
Energy Consumption in two types
of air washer :
For 115000 CMH of air, spray nozzle air washer needs
2 x 11 kw pumps for efficient working of spray nozzles (Nozzle
size 1/8" x 3/8").
For same 115000 CMH of air, Rigid Media air
washer needs only 2.2 kw pump and cooling efficiency better,
no clogging and negligible maintenance. It is net saving of
16 kw electrical energy.
